ピメリコと奈良平華子の2人展が、京都のmonade contemporary | 単子現代にて、7月16日より開催されます。
展示概要
古代より薬、繊維、食材として重宝されながら、現代では厄介な雑草ともされる植物、葛（くず）。その存在は、変遷する人の暮らしや価値観を映す鏡でもあります。
もし葛にまなざしがあるなら、それはどんなものでしょうか？
ピメリコによる映像と、奈良平華子の手編みニットで、永遠に交わらないかもしれない、人間と植物の視線を空間に展開します。

作家紹介
ピメリコ
神奈川県在住の現代美術作家。システムエンジニアとしてIT企業に勤務したのち、渡英。ロンドン大学ゴールドスミス・カレッジ（BA）、およびチェルシー・カレッジ・オブ・アーツ（MA）にてファインアートを学ぶ。
人間、自然、そして目に見えない力が交差する劇場として現実を捉え直すような、映像インスタレーションを制作。葛のリサーチプロジェクトのほか、タロットや占星術など象徴言語の探求・実践も行っている。アーティスト・ラン・スペース「Waves Project」主宰（神奈川県湯河原町）。

奈良平華子
京都在住のニットデザイナー・アーティスト。ロンドンのCentral Saint Martins College of Art and Design, BA Fashion Design with Knitwearを卒業後、1点もののアートピースから、量産されるカットソーのデザインまで、あらゆるニットに携わりながら自身の制作を続けてきた。近年、AMUSHIKANAIというハンドニットブランドを立ち上げ、物語や日々の気づきから考え感じることをテーマにリサーチし、作品の制作やインスタレーションを行なっている。

FOOL’s GAZE – Kuzuo’s room
A two-person exhibition by Pimeriko and Narahira Hanako will be held at monade contemporary | 単子現代 in Kyoto starting from 16th July.
Exhibition Overview
Kudzu, a plant long valued since ancient times for its medicinal, fibrous, and nutritional qualities, yet treated as a troublesome weed in the modern era, acts as a mirror reflecting the shifting lifestyles and values of humanity.
What kind of gaze would Kudzu possess, if it had one? This exhibition is an attempt to imagine that very gaze and offer it a place to dwell.
Through video installations by Pimeriko and hand-knit textiles by Narahira Hanako, the work unfolds the lines of sight between humans and plants — two perspectives that may never truly intersect.

About the Artists
Pimeriko
Contemporary artist based in Kanagawa, Japan. After working as a system engineer in the IT industry, she moved to the UK, where she studied fine art at Goldsmiths, University of London (BA) and Chelsea College of Arts (MA).
Pimeriko creates video installations that reframe reality as a theatrical stage where humanity, nature, and unseen forces intersect. In addition to her long-term research project on Kudzu, she explores and practices symbolic languages, including Tarot and astrology. Founder and director of the artist-run space “Waves Project” in Yugawara, Kanagawa.

Hanako Narahira
Knit designer and artist based in Kyoto, Japan. After graduating from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design (BA Fashion Design with Knitwear) in London, Narahira has continued her practice across the full spectrum of knitwear, ranging from one-of-a-kind art pieces to commercial cut-and-sew apparel design. Recently, she launched her hand-knit brand “AMUSHIKANAI.” Her current work and installations involve deep research into narratives and daily insights, exploring what we think and feel through the medium of knitting.

An expert in ecological analysis, management, and conservation planning utilizing geographic mapping systems. With a particular passion for avian life, she dedicates her daily research to creating environments where birds can thrive. Based in Yokohama, Japan. Ph.D. (Arts and Sciences).
