Waves Projectでは、2025年10月11日(土)から11月2日(日)の会期にて要田伸雄の個展『Demographics』を開催いたします。
展示にはニットデザイナーAMUSHIKANAIとのコラボレーションも含まれています。
展示概要
本当の自分などない。又は自分における全てのバージョンが本当である。仮にリラックスできる自分のことを「本当の自分」と称しているのならば、「本当の自分」は言葉の誤謬である。
Demographics では、主にジャガイモサンプルを、数学的な意味合いでのx やnに見立て、「擬芋化」されたハリボテ、ひいては匿名であり擬人化された個の集合体、あるいは層として扱う。そしてその擬人化された集合体、集合体の属性、行動を観察し、認識する「個人」（鑑賞者）の有するペルソナの複合性、コラージュ性、空想性を見つめる機会の提起を試みる。

作家紹介
要田伸雄（美術作家）
1983年大阪府生まれ。現在、東京を拠点に活動中。2007年ゴールドスミス・カレッジ ファイン・アートBA卒業。
近年は、BodyとBody理解におけるFantasyをテーマに作品を制作。
主な展示は、黄金町バザール2019（横浜）、Pon ding(台北）など。

AMUSHIKANAI（ニット）
「赤の他人」や「白日夢」など、テーマに基づいたコンセプチュアルなニット制作を得意とする。季節感や手編みのイメージに縛られず新しいニット作品の可能性を探求している。
セントラル・セント・マーチンズ ファッションBAを卒業、現在は京都を拠点に活動。

Waves Project is pleased to present a solo exhibition by Nobuo Yoda, entitled ‘Demographics’, which will run from 11 October to 2 November 2025.
The exhibition will feature a collaboration with knit designer AMUSHIKANAI.
Yoda will be at the gallery on 11th, 12th and 18th October, and you are all welcome to have a chat.
Pimeriko, director of Waves Project will be running the Cafe Sampo, the cafe next door, on Sundays during the exhibition.

Artist
Nobuo Yoda (Artist)
Born 1983, in Osaka,currently based in Tokyo. Graduated from Goldsmiths College Fine Art BA in 2007.
In recent years, he has been working on the theme of body and the fantasies on understanding body.
Past exhibitions include Koaganecho-Bazaar 2019 (Yokohama), Pon ding (Taipei).

AMUSHIKANAI（Knitting）
Hanako Narahira of AMUSHIKANAI specializes in conceptual knitwear design based on themes such as ‘strangers’ and ‘daydreams.’
She explores new possibilities for knitting without being bound by seasonal trends or traditional hand-knitting imagery.
She graduated with a BA in Fashion from Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London, and is currently based in Kyoto.
